4 out of 5 stars Good piece of equipment!   January 4, 2009

A great cheap Ipod accessory. Use it every time I drive to listen to my Ipod Touch... Had to cut off a little bit of the stabilising bits and cut a dent into the foam so that its wouldn't fly out when accelerating but still holds well. However the radio transmitter is pretty useless because the connection is pretty bad so its hard to keep the thing powered so it keeps reseting... but I used a AUX.IN cable and works fine.

Definitely worth the few pounds I spent!!

After a couple of days this product decided to do its own thing such as,turn itself off and change frequencies. It works properly rarely so I would advise you to try another FM transmitter.

I found the build quality to be quite sturdy and durable. The arms that support the Ipod are really good at holding it in place. I must say though that if and serious pressure were applied to the holding arms the would possible snap, but then again there not supposed to be put under such strains.
I found that the Radio transmission was fine. Dont expect CD quality sound, after all it is only radio.
When delivered the product was well protected and very easy to install and operate.
Its plugs into your cigerette lighter and you can tilt the vertical angle but not the horizontal.
For the price I paid I am really pleased with what I got.

OK, so my cig lighter is in an awkward place, which didn't help, but even so, the performance is rubbish. Loud hissing and disconnection from the cigarette lighter are its big failings - not to mention the poor build-quality and garbled operating instructions on the packaging that seem to be copied and pasted from an online translator.
Avoid it.

Ok, I knew it was a risk, because i paid just 12. but i thought it might come up trumps.. I even had a friend bring it all the way to the other side of the world so i could use it here in Brazil.
Unfortunately it doesn't work. When i can manage to get the power on, the cigarette lighter is the only way to power it, the adaptor being seemingly very poor then there is a glimmer of hope, but unfortunaely the device turns off every 2 seconds and resets the frequency and leaves me listening to a loud untuned radio. The unit is not designed for a 30gb ipod, when in the holder, the ipod covers the buttons, so you have to move the unit to change the frequency, and any slight movement de-powers the unit and resets everything... Very Frustrating.
#I now understand that you get what you pay for! But i still paid 12 for nothing..
