Worst Itrip Ever! December 29, 2008 E. C. Carnochan (Dumfries) It's the most i've paid for an ITrip (This is my 3rd) and the worst I've had. It's a tidy little gadget and much smaller than i've had before so I believed it would be ideal. However I put my ipod using this ITrip in between the front seats of my car (about 50cms to the front of the radio) and all I get it static, I've tried numerous frequencies without luck and its not as though I live in a FM clogged up city - This is out in the cointry!. I find the problem lays with lack of strength of the transmitter, this is because if I put the transmitter ontop the dashboard (next to the radio) it works better but still not perfect. But for obvious reasons I can't let it roam free unsecured on the dashboard. I usually like Griffin products but this one is pretty much a waste of plastic and money. Save your money.
Neat gagdet December 17, 2008 Richard Webb (Brighton, UK) Great gadget I've had no problems with reception as other reviewers have mentioned. It's plug and play and works great in my car
Buy somthing else! November 26, 2008 James G I bought one of these and it is pretty rubbish. Here's what makes you wish you'd bought something else 1. The display flashes and blanks out as the +/- buttons are pressed, this seems to be because the display gets twisted or pressed as you push the buttons. 2. It doesn't remember the station it was last using. This alone makes it not worth buying. Every time it gets turned on, you need to choose a station because it chooses one at random. Irritatingly it'll remember the Mono/Stereo setting, but not the station it was using. Buy something else, it's not very good.
Aaaaggghhhhhhhhhh November 18, 2008 Ludicrous Nuts (UK) This unit is good at what it does whilst it is turned on and connected to your MP3 player - in my case an IPod touch. The unit has a separate adaptor for eachg I pod device so that it sits snuggly on the bottom. It completely falls down when you turn it off though, as when you turn it back on the unit will not have saved your last used FM frequency, and therefore you have to retune it every time! This is particularly annoying considering that the new frequency it selects will be totally random and 9 times out of 10 is a frequency that is already being used by a mainstream radio station. Compared to others on the market, I would avoid this - Mine is being returned today.
Rubbish November 16, 2008 Lovemimusic (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered a 2006 itrip which had previously worked brilliantly, until an accident led to its demise. When I ordred a new one, I was sent an iTrip SE 2008. Its rubbish. It keeps cutting out, does not remember its frequency, and is so flimsy that its switch has fallen off. Don't bother. This should be withdrawn.
