Top Class Seller and Top Class Gadget March 17, 2008 K. Macmillan (Johnstone, Scotland) I bought this and was a bit unsure as it seemed too cheap! Mad , I know. I had a new Ipod Shuffle but wanted to play it on my car stereo and I wanted to play the soundtrack of movies off my laptop over the house speakers and also the music I had downloaded too. This turned out to be the best little gadget ever! Easy to use, really easy in fact, and easy to keep charged, it charges itself from the cigarette lighter or from the USB while you are using it as both attachments come with it!! The sound is crystal clear , and it saves me having all those discs in the car and it means I do not end up listening to the same CD for weeks on end, lol!! The Royal Mail let me down and lost the first one sent out, I told the guys at Tecknet and I had a replacement the very next day! Service does not get better than that. Buy one, you will wonder how you managed to get this far without one. Kenny
TeckNet FM Transmitter - Great Product March 10, 2008 David (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The product works great, without any problems. Transmitting is excellent. Reception is excellent with great sound. Very good highs. If one does have problems I would add a FM antenna, straight wire.
Good fm transmitter September 23, 2007 Mrs. C. Simpson (Orkney) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received my TeckNet FM11 Portable Stereo MP3 FM Transmitter a few days ago only snag is I bought it a week too soon as I paid 4.99 plus postage! Very pleased with it so far, I like the fact that it has rechargeable batteries and a jack that can be plugged into an iPod etc. I own the rocketfm transmitter already and it works with a usb cable only but this works with both.

There are loads of these knocking around on the net under various different brands. I am on my second now, and alas I can say that you get what you pay for. The first had good sound quality but, after about a month, the wire going to the headphone jack started to come out of the transmitter unit, and the plastic shielding started to crack, until eventually there was no sound at all coming out of the left channel. The build quality in general was very poor - sometimes the buttons would stick, and the device would lock up, requiring the batteries to be removed and put back in. The design on the second one seems to have been refined a bit - there is a plastic grommet on the top of the unit to stop the wire coming out, and the wire itself seems to be shielded in a softer plastic to stop it cracking. Great - except that there is a continuous high-pitched interference in the background. This seems to be present no matter what frequency it is tuned into, and even if there is nothing connected. If you are a trash-rock fan, this probably isn't going to annoy you too much, but on anything more quiet it will quickly spoil your listening. Poor build quality and cheap parts seem to have made these devices a lottery.
