For us the picks of the bunch were the iTrip and the TuneCast 3. While the iTrip offers a significant financial saving -- something that earned it a lot of points -- the simplicity and wider compatibility of the TuneCast won our hearts in equal measure. You'll need to make a choice between cost and usefulness as both devices performed equally well. For those naysayers out there you've maybe had some bad luck in the past. We've discovered that good FM transmitters are out there and we stand behind the iTrip and the TuneCast 3 all the way. Until next time radio nerds...

Not bad... December 29, 2008 Mojo Jojo (Uk) Warning! - works but doesn't charge 4th Gen Ipod Nano! Otherwise it does its job and sound quality is ok
iTouch G2 December 29, 2008 Alan Bezzant (London) This is a great bit of kit. Very easily set up and provides really good quality reception with no distortion. Much, much better than a cheaper unit that this has replaced. (It's the usual story - pay a bit more and get quality.) My only gripe is that it will not charge the iTouch while it's in use and connected to the cigar lighter socket - charging is not supported. Hell's teeth, why do Apple do this? Really annoying, but I can live with it. Just shouldn't have to.
It probably works... December 7, 2008 Y. Cochen (Glasgow, Scotland) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
It is probably a good product... Unfortunately it doesn't work with the Ipod Touch 2nd Generation and it wasn't obvious on the product description...
Best on the market November 24, 2008 D. Gresly (Northampton, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product is of course fairly cheep and the fact that it charges the Ipod too is great, I bought this product for my girlfriend after a previous one i bought her was shockingly bad and physically came apart after a few weeks, the ITrip auto however is well made, has a good FM signal (we have never had to change the frequency) and a good range (as I was following her car to the garage about 20 meters behind I was able to reasonably pick up what she was listening to from my car) in all a really great buy and if this doesn't work you will most likely need to get away from the transmitters and plug your ipod direct
Dissapointing little number November 18, 2008 Tate Taylor (Stourport on Severn, Worcestershire, UK) Having studied previous reviews of this and similar products, I decided to spend my money on the Grifin iTrip. What a waste of money this has turned out to be. Maybe I have a bad one but there is a constant high piched whine accompanying anything that is being played, the sound quality is punctuated with hiss, crackle and pop (new breakfast cereal) and despite using all of the provided pre set frequencies and a lot of my own, the problem does not go away. I can't blame the system in the car as it has always functioned superbly prior to this. Griffin iTrip Auto FM Transmitter and Charger for iPod - Black
