Check compatability December 12, 2008 Mungo (Hampshire) I bought this from Halfords who claim 'it works with any docking ipod' except it doesnt. I contacted Griffin because I couldnt get it to work who advised it wont work with earlier ipod models whether docking or not.
disappointed October 2, 2008 PT (London UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
The product works, but: (a) the stereo signal is too weak, so it only works satisfactorily in mono; (b) the sound quality is adequate, but no more than that; and (c) the ipod touch adaptor does not hold the new (slimmer) model firmly. Furthermore, I had not realised that every single FM frequency in London is occupied. So the product does not work properly here. But I expect it would be fine in remote countryside.
Fab product August 13, 2008 History Fan (Staffordshire) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is easy to set up and sturdy and after having been dismally disappointed with a rival product (albeit not an auto scan model) I was prepared to be disappointed - not a bit of it - so far it has been great.
Good product. July 19, 2008 Master Cam 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This product is simple and good quality. I got this for my work van and work around Southampton and the New Forest,No problems as yet.The Apple store sale's this for 70 so you get it for around 40 including p&p.Good buy.
Gah! Rubbish July 14, 2008 daveyt 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
After months of looking for something that seemed to fit the bill (I wanted an FM transmitter/power all in one) for my Ipod Classic I splashed out and bought this, lots of other good reviews on other sites. Its nicely put together, does what it says on the box. However, dynamic range is APPALLING. Theres no way of controlling the volume of it, its preset, but if your song has drums or vocals on it, forget it, it will clip, and it sounds like the cheapest nastiest radio you ever had. I long for the days when things actually worked, like my old 3G ipod and the original iTrip, a wonderful combination. Now I have a nice expensive, good looking system, but poor quality. Sorry, avoid this if you like music.
