Family Vacation Ideas
Finding the perfect place for a family vacation is part of the fun of planning the vacation. Everyone has their favorite beach or amusement park destination, yet sometimes it is fun to try something different or out of the ordinary.
For families who love the outdoors, renting a cabin for a week at a National Park is a great idea. This type of vacation gives families a lot of time to spend together. Fun activities can include a day for a family bike ride, having picnics, and spending a day at the beach. Since the kids do not have access to the amenities of home life like tv or computers, it is important that the park in which one stays does have activities such as swimming, biking, a playground, and hiking. Parents can make it more fun by having a week long scavenger hunt for the kids. 
While this may not seem like the perfect vacation idea for adults, as there is a lot of work involved in renting a cabin, the kids will have fun memories of the week.
For those who love shopping, a family shopping vacation at a major mall, such as Mall of America, or famous outlet stores, would be awesome. Major shopping malls offer plenty to do besides shop. Most have theaters, IMAX Theaters, themed restaurants, and play areas. One may even find activities like laser tag or Build-A-Bear. Many put on concerts during certain times of the year. Most malls have websites which include a schedule of events and it would be a good idea to take events into account when planning the vacation.
