Good In The South July 16, 2007 G. I. Hayward (South of England) Have used this in the South from Cornwall to Kent without changing the startup frequency of 87.5 and the only place I've noticed any interference was at the junction of the M3 & M25. For the money it's FIVE stars but no doubt if you pay more there may be benfits. So, cheap & cheerful - it works for me!
Disappointed July 12, 2007 Andy (Hampshire) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This was the third brand of these devices tried - in various (friends and colleagues as well as my own) cars and their radios, travelling a fair distance around the country. They 'work' in a fashion, but not well or at all consistently - this one was no different. 'Sound quality' is a subjectively perceived criterion so probably accounts for the rather disparate comments in these reviews. If you want CD quality through your car radio from your MP3 player etc, you'll probably be disappointed.
Great May 24, 2007 Mr. P. I. Boyle (England) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have to disagree with the bad reviews on this product. Although mine did look the same as in the picture so maybe others were unlucky and got a substitute? This gives me great sound quality and I only needed to tune my radio in once and its been great ever since. Although the P&P is misleading, 8 is still very reasonable. I would definitley reccomend this product.
Quality for the price May 6, 2007 juniorramraider (Lancs,England) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Ordered Monday, delivered Wednesday. Does what it says on the tin, spot on for the money.
Works, just about - but that's all May 2, 2007 Dave (London) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is the first FM transmitter I've tried. I chose this product because the reviews seemed good, and it was cheap (purchase price [..], but postage [..]- this is common on Amazon Marketplace, but annoying as it makes meaningful price comparison difficult). The review by E. Charles wasn't up at the time, but my experiences are similar - the product looks different, and even with a quiet frequency and my iPod set to maximum volume, the transmitter simply isn't powerful enough to produce a level near to that of commercial broadcasts. The stereo in my Audi A4 beeps annoyingly as a warning that the signal is too weak. Sound quality is not great, and the transmitter also has a habit of popping out of the cigarette lighter socket. I wouldn't recommend this product.
