I found the transmitter gave out a fairly strong signal but the build quality was very poor and I needed to mess around with the jack connector all the time as there was a loose connection in there somewhere. You get what you pay for, it does the job but you can't expect a lot for this price.

Okay it is very cheap but virtually useless so no wonder!
Sound barely audible at highest radio volume and lots of interference with batteries and/or charger supplied.
Will put this down to bad experience and pay a lot more next time ( with trial first!)

The unit is well designed, BUT the sound quality is similar to listeing to cassette copies from vinyl records at best!
It is prone to feedback, and even amplifies movement or sounds that are generated when handling the unit. I think that electronically it needs much better shielding from external interference, and needs a better sound quality than is present.
That said.....Its cheap and I will keep it as a spare, but buy a better quality one that will hopefully do the job with better sound quality.

The Transmitter is excellent. The transmitter is supplied with a 12/24 volt cig lighter adapter, excellent for lorries or cars and Works with adapter without the batteries installed.
With batteries the signal is very clear but when you use the adapter you do get a very faint high-pitched sound but this is not annoying.
I've used it in two different cars and a few lorries and all work the same.
The best result ive found is to leave the transmitter on the lowest frequency i.e. 87.5 as nothing uses this and ive never had to change it and ive driven all over the uk as im a trucker.
if you use the power adapter and the very faint sound in the background annoys you just use batteries (a couple or aaa rechargeable last 10 or so hours, charge up 4 and it will keep you going for days).
I've used it with cd/dvd player, mp3 player LCD TV all excellent. I tried it with a computer but u do get interference and so you cannot use it.
I was scuptible as ive heard some bad stories but found this product at 5 pounds inc p&p and it is really good.
You will not be disappointed if u bought one. gadget scored 9/10

This Transmitter Kit is fantastic you get the transmitter and a cig lightler adapter if you dont want to use batteries,
The signal is clear as a bell far better than the ones i've used in the past (which cost alot more) and far better than any tape adapter, whats more i had alot of fun hijacking peoples radio's with it (eg Radio 1) it's very funny when you see a car close to you with the driver very confused as to why radio one is playing underground hiphop and trying to re-tune the radio. LOL!
Bottom line it's a fiver (inc p&p) and works fantasticly!
